Bridgestone Park Feasibility Study and Concept Plan
Bridgestone Tyres has donated a large parcel of land to Council for development as a formal sport and recreation facility.
This project involved assessing the feasibility of Council’s two preferred options (synthetic athletics facility with rectangular playing fields or multiple rectangular fields alone), preparing concept designs and ultimately developing a master plan for the preferred option. The project involved wide-ranging consultation and balancing community requests with land and resource realities.
The draft has been well-received by Council with officers particularly impressed with the comprehensive financial assessment and management considerations.
